Lou Batori is 106 years old and he is still making turns at his home mountain of Crystal Mountain in Northern Michigan. Lou was 10 years old when he started skiing in his home country of Hungary, but it wasn’t until he was 16 years old that he took his first chairlift ride. Local ski resorts tend to take care of you when you’re a living legend such as Lou, so Crystal Mountain has a reserved parking spot for him just 100 feet from the main chair. We hope to see Lou on the mountain for many years to come.

“A good wife, only drinking the best quality liquor and picking your parents carefully,” stated Lou when asked about the keys to living such a long life.
