High Fives is a non-profit organization located in Truckee, California focused on raising snow sport injury prevention awareness and providing resources to those athletes who suffer life-altering injuries. The High Fives foundation has released its sixth installment of their BASICS series. The series explores some of the fundamentals in the sport of skiing and how they affect us, both positive and negative, as well as how we can approach these sometimes fatal elements in a safer and more cognitive way.

It’s important to make goals this season to be more aware of the actions we take as snow sport enthusiasts, be it in the backcountry or at the resort, and respectful of the results that may occur as they are inherently dangerous sports we enjoy very much and wish to continue enjoying for as long as possible.
