VIDEO: Charging the Chimney at Squaw Valley, CA Yesterday

Squaw recorded 0″ of snowfall on Monday but it did snow a trace amount on Monday…  You couldn’t really tell by looking at the mountain but somehow, someway, a bit of snow fell and stuck in The Chimney – the only place on the mountain that hadn’t seen tracks since the 18″ dump we had on Friday.

That trace of snow + the 18″ on Friday + the smoothness in The Chimney led to a potent mini session in The Chimney yesterday.

Thanks, Patrol.

Chimney Sweep, Center Line, & The Big Easy all went down the The Big Easy looks like so much fun right now.  You have to drop in turning left, skitter over some rocks while pointing it, but staying left, then pull a high speed airplane turn just before you launch out onto the smooth apron below.

The Chimney is definitely experiencing high snow levels right now and we’re hoping it’ll be primed and ready to go again after the couple inches of snow we’re supposed to get today/tonight.

  1. Thank you for the posts. FYI The video links do not open on IPad. I think all the FB video links do not open. This one and Drew Tabke one do not.

  2. I think we heard Jamie Yimm did the Fingers? Not sure if it was him or not but looked like him
