Southern Track Storm Brings Hope for Powder Days

After a long dry stretch, skiers and riders in the southern Rockies finally have reason to celebrate. A new storm system is tracking across the Four Corners, promising a solid shot of fresh snow for Colorado and northern New Mexico—potentially the most exciting accumulation of the season so far. Expect those deep purples on the maps to make a welcome appearance on the slopes by the weekend.

Elsewhere, patience remains the name of the game. The Wasatch, Pacific Northwest, and Interior BC will mostly miss the brunt of this system, though some late-period snow chances could develop by month’s end. The Northeast, on the other hand, is lining up for a potent storm and strong lake-effect setup that could deliver double-digit totals for some resorts if the track holds steady.
