“My name is Derek Pearson and I’m a competitive freeskier currently based out of Utah. I came out on Sunday to visit for a week and Monday was my first ever day at Squaw. I basically just lapped KT and did a little exploring to get acquainted the first day I was here since there was low vis everywhere.
I had one thought in my mind when I saw that it was bluebird in the morning on Tuesday…Palisades. I got on the Funitel and immediately headed to Siberia Express. I was stoked to see only a few people ahead of myself. Booted up to the top, peeked over and got ready to drop. My first go was Center Line and my next two were off the nose on The Loft. If I had to give a real life definition of euphoria, this was it. Holy shit I love this place.” – Derek Pearson
