VIDEO: 13-Year-Old Kelly Sildaru Becomes Youngest Person To Win Gold After Winning The X Games Slopestyle

Kelly Sildaru became the youngest Winter X Games gold medalist at the age of 13 and brought home Estonia’s first-ever first-place finish. The Estonian skier competed in the Winter X Games in Aspen Friday, bringing home the women’s ski slopestyle gold with a score of 93. Kelly says that she works on her “hobby” on a 100-meter hill near her home due to the absence of mountains in the area. She’s got a bright future to say the least!

“The 5-feet-1, 88-pound athlete — the lightest and shortest at this year’s Winter X — has been heralded as the future of freeskiing since 2011. She confirmed her catalyst status in December when she won the Dew Tour in Breckenridge, beating athletes who had been competing for as many years as she has been alive,” stated the Denver Post.
