VIDEO: One of the Gnarliest Lines at Squaw Went Down Yesterday | “High Line” on McConkey’s

Local badass Josh A.  hucked the crap out of “High Line” on McConkey’s (Eagle’s Nest) today.

The line involves standing on a ridiculously steep piece of overhanging rock, then teetering over the edge, hucking a large air, landing on a 68º mini landing zone for about 2 ski lengths, then hucking again back to Earth with a bit of an angle change (the landing is less steep than the take off of the second air).

This is one of the most challenging lines at Squaw Valley and it very rarely gets skied.  It certainly hasn’t been hit since 2011.

To drop into this line takes huge balls.  To land it and ski away takes huge skills.

Props, Josh A, props…

  1. To quote the great Dr. Gaffney in squallywood: “… I have yet to see someone stick it cleanly when [straightlined]”.

Well, if Gaffney read snowbrains, now he has.
