Today the Eddie Aikau competition is going down in Waimea Bay, Hawaii for the first time in 9 years.  This comp only goes when the waves are huge and surfable and that hasn’t happened in a long long time.  The current swell may be the biggest in 40 years in Hawaii.

Grant “Twiggy” Baker, 42, is a true big wave badass who owns no fear of big waves.  He took this ferocious wipeout just minutes ago, grabbed his board, waved off the jet ski, and paddled right back into the line up.

The only question he asked of the would be rescue jet skiers was “how much time left?”

Whatta badass.

This is all we are watching today…
