After one of the driest Februaries California ski areas have ever experienced, powder has returned to Mammoth Mountain, California. The resort reported 9″ of the good stuff falling on its slopes in the past 48 hours. After a painful month with little to no new snowfall, this storm was much needed at Mammoth and other California ski areas.
Squaw Valley received 8″ during this same storm cycle and other Tahoe ski areas are reporting similar snow totals. Could California ski areas see winter kick back into gear for a ‘miraculous March?’
