VIDEO: Ski Cut Produces Large Avalanche in Chamonix, France

Ski cuts are a very important tool in the backcountry.  They are a way of testing a slope to see if it may avalanche.

Please do not attempt to ski cut a slope unless you are experienced and qualified.
