A skier triggered this avalanche on a wind-loaded northeast-facing slope in the Sawatch zone, Colorado on November 13, 2020.
Slopes like this which face north and northeast in above-treeline areas are some of the only places where there is enough snow to ride right now.
They are also the most likely places for you to trigger an avalanche.
