Snow clearing has begun on the Beartooth Highway! The 68-mile byway meanders through Southwest Montana and Northwest Wyoming, eventually leading into Yellowstone National Park. The highway closes each winter due to snow levels and weather- snow drifts as high as 26 feet have been recorded at the higher elevations! Crews work tirelessly to clear and open the highway in sections, using plows of all sizes. The highway is planned to be open for Memorial Day weekend.
