A few years ago I met a woman who was driving a state snowplow on Red Mountain Pass
when an avalanche swept her truck away. They came and got her. She survived and has been patched up to almost normal (limps and uses a cane) . Recovery took about a year with multiple surgeries as about half the bones in her body were broken.
