After a record-breaking 903” winter, it’s probably no surprise that there is still a little snow hanging around at Alta Ski Area in Utah.

In March, at its deepest point last season, Alta had a base of over 200″—something that hasn’t happened at the resort since the winter of 2010-11.

Ski Utah has been measuring the snowpack every couple of weeks, and two feet of snow remain this week.

That’s 1.5 feet less than two weeks ago, but enough to make some turns.

Utah Winter 2022-2023 Statistics:

  • 13 out of 15 resorts beat all-time snowfall records
  • 10 out of 15 resorts had their longest season ever
  • 200+ days of skiing/riding
  • 44 Utah Powder Days (12″ or more in 24hrs)
