Willy-Moon

It’s Monday yet again, which of course means its time for some new music for your listening pleasure. This week we bring you New Zealand born musician Willy Moon, whom just recently released his debut album, Here’s Willy Moon. With a style that very few share, Moon mixes 50’s rock with modern day hip hop techniques. With a unique soulful sound, and some pretty interesting live performances, Willy Moon is about to make a name for himself in the music industry.

Born in New Zealand in 1989, Moon relocated to London when he was 18 to try his hand at the music industry. He released his first single ‘I want to be your man’ in 2010 which attracted the attention of Universal Island Records. In 2012 Moon released two more songs under Jack Whites Third Man Records and proceeded to open for White during his UK tour in 2012. In 2013 Moon finally released his debut album which mixes contemporaneity pop, hip hop, and 50’s rock. Moons style is a breath of fresh air in the often repetitive music industry, so go ahead and give it a listen, it’s definitely better than whats on the radio.
