With four feet of snow since the beginning of February, Winter Park is getting better and better every day. There have been no big dumps, just consistent 4, 5, or 6 inches, with a couple of 7s and a 9, most days. The base is currently at 62″, one of the deepest in Colorado, and is actually at 94% of average for this time of year.

With a big storm looming over the next day or so, there’s potential to add to the snowpack and have some really awesome powder days. This week they opened the Cirque, and the Mary Jane chutes have been skiable too.
Give us a foot over the next 36-hours and the trees and the bumps will be epic. Not forgetting to mention fully opening the Cirque, and Eagle Wind to give us more advanced steeps and deeps to shred.
We’ve been considering trips to other resorts, but with the best conditions in Colorado on our doorstep, why bother?!
The next few days at Winter Park, CO are going to be goooood!

I would consider other ski resorts because they have better terrain?
