Here’s the news you’ve all been waiting for… winter’s coming! The summer high temperature in Denver has peaked, according to the Denver Post, and it is all downhill now to winter as temperatures will gradually decrease.

On average, July is Denver’s hottest month of the year, with an average long-term monthly temperature of 74.2 degrees, just a little warmer than August’s 72.5 degree average monthly temperature.

Denver’s average high temperature peaked at 90ºF on July 12, and the average high remains at 90 through August 1. But as of Friday, August 2, Denver’s average daily high temperature drops back to 89. The average high temperature will fall every day from now until December 12, when the mercury bottoms out at 42 degrees.

December 17 through 19 is the coldest time of the year, with an average high temperature of 42.0ºF and a low of 16.6.
