World Ski Awards, the only global initiative to recognize, reward, and celebrate excellence in ski tourism, has announced the winners of its 13th annual edition.
Voted as the World’s Best Ski Resort for the 10th time since the creation of the award, is France’s Val Thorens. The resort is the Alps’ highest-situated resort—making conditions snow-sure throughout the season—and is renowned for its high-altitude skiing. As part of the Les 3 Vallées ski area—the largest in the world with 600 kilometers (373 miles) of slopes—the opportunities are endless, with terrain servicing all ability levels. Runners-up to the title were Austria’s Kitzbühel and Switzerland’s Verbier, which each won the title of the best ski resort of their respective countries.

Voted as the best Canadian resort was Lake Louise, while Utah’s Deer Valley took home the USA crown for 2025. Lake Louise won for the 11th time in the award’s history while Deer Valley has won the title every single year since inception. In addition, Deer Valley’s Stein Eriksen Lodge was voted the World’s Best Ski Hotel for the 12th time in 13 years.

Meanwhile, the World’s Best Freestyle title went to Switzerland’s Laax, with French resorts Avoriaz and Les 2 Alpes as runners-up.
Ski Dubai was hailed as ‘World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort’. SnowWorld Landgraaf in the Netherlands and SNØ Oslo in Norway were runners-up for this honor. Ski Dubai inside the Mall of the Emirates has won this title for the 10th year in a row.

The results follow a year-long search for the world’s leading ski travel, tourism, and hospitality brands. Votes were cast by ski industry professionals and ski consumers, with the nominee gaining the most votes in each category being named the winner.

We have received a record number of votes from ski tourism consumers all around the world – most encouraging on the eve of the upcoming season.”
