Top YouTube Star ‘King of Random’ Killed in Utah Paragliding Accident

Popular YouTube star Grant Thompson, 38 has died after a paragliding accident in Utah. The ‘King of Random‘ had reportedly gone out to Sand Hollow State Park but never returned sparking a massive hunt. The search was launched when he did not return home for an hour and his family couldn’t reach him on his phone.

Authorities used GPS data to track Thompson, who had started paragliding about five months earlier, and tragically found his body along with paragliding equipment at the crash site.

It is unclear exactly what had happened.

His family shared a tribute to Grant on his YouTube channel after the news was confirmed, urging fans to perform a “random act of love” to honor the star.

Thompson’s YouTube Channel ‘King of Random‘ launched in 2010 and documented experiments, life hacks, and weekend projects. He had more than 11m subscribers and nearly 2.5billion total views making him the 321st most subscribed channel on YouTube.
