ZZ-Ward-imageIt’s Monday yet again, and thus it’s time for music Monday, in which this week for your listening pleasure we bring you ZZ Ward. ZZ has been making a name for herself the last two years, breaking the top 40 alternative chart, increasing radio play, and performing on shows like Good Morning America and the Tonight show. Mixing rock and blues with elements of rap and hip hop influences, ZZ Ward brings a new and unique sound to the industry.

Born Zsuzsanna Eva Ward in 1986, she joined her first band when she was 12 in Roseville Oregon. Playing in her fathers band she quickly progressed and started playing with local rap musicians which gave her the unique sound she has today. After moving to LA she has worked with musicians such as Kendrick Lamar, Freddie Gibbs, and Fitz from Fitz and the Tantrums. Her latetest album, Till the Casket Drops, was released in October of 2012.
