A Canadian hiker was found dead near his campsite at noon on Monday, September 4th, 2017 just off the Tahoe Rim Trail near 10,881′ Freel Peak in Lake Tahoe, CA.
No foul play is suspected.
The El Dorado coroner will make a full investigation.
Gordon Yorke, 56, was last heard from at 7:27am on August 25th by friends and family.
His friends and family reported him missing after not hearing from him and him missing a resupply pick-up in Tahoe City, CA.
According to friends, Gordon was planning on hiking 12-15 miles per day.
Search and rescue teams from Douglas county, El Dorado country, and the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to find Gordon.
The Tahoe Rim Trail is 165-miles long and encircles Lake Tahoe, CA/NV.
