NOAA is tracking a Gulf of Alaska storm forecast to hit California on Friday and Saturday. At this point, they are calling for 6-12″ of snow for the Lake Tahoe region with much lesser amounts for Yosemite and Mammoth. Snow level are forecast to be around 4,500-feet.
A cool system from the Gulf of Alaska is on the way. This will impact the area Friday into Saturday, with accumulating snow expected above 4500 feet.” – NOAA Sacramento, CA today
