Mammoth’s gondola rises 2,000-feet to the summit of 11,053-foot Mammoth Mountain. ย We rode it top to bottom all day today.
Patrol opened Hangman’s Chute at 9:30am today and we were the first ones in. ย Hangman’s was full of winteryย chalk above the choke and steep, buttery smooth powder below the choke.
We skied nothing but Hangman’s to the bottom every run until 1:30pm.
Today was a great day.ย Cold, breezy, light winds, sunny, with winter snow. ย We had even more fun than we had yesterday, which we didn’t think possible.
I’ll be back at Mammoth this Wed-Fri. Perhaps we can meet up.
Last Tue/Wed were great, but from your TR I think Thu/Fri were even better.
Yes, we should be back down there on Wed. Lets do it.
Yo Miles, why ain’t you skiing squaw, too manky?
Squaw has been great and KT is still open. Can’t ask for much more.
I almost always live in Mammoth in May as I don’t think you can beat Mammoth in May. Also, Mammoth got 3-4″ of snow Friday and Squaw got 0.
I’ll be back up at Squaw on Monday before coming back down again during the week. Come on down!
