NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that is calling for another 3-8″ of snow to fall in Tahoe tonight and tomorrow.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 3 TO 8 INCHES...HIGHEST NEAR THE CREST.

Snow if forecast all week in Lake Tahoe, CA.

Sugar Bowl ski resort in Lake Tahoe, CA just saw 26″ of snow from the last storm Sunday/Monday (see image above).

Mammoth, Boreal, and Mt. Rose are the only ski resorts currently open in CA/NV.

Alpine Meadows will open tomorrow with just the Kangaroo beginner lift.

Sugar Bowl will open on Fridayย with Lincoln, Nob Hill, and Christmas Tree lifts.

Kirkwood will open on Saturday.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, TRUCKEE, STATELINE,
AND INCLINE VILLAGE

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS
EVENING TO 10 AM PST WEDNESDAY...

* TIMING: SNOW WILL START IN THE LAKE TAHOE BASIN LATE THIS
  EVENING. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL LIKELY BE BETWEEN MIDNIGHT
  AND 5 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 3 TO 8 INCHES...HIGHEST NEAR THE CREST.

* WINDS AND WAVES ON LAKE TAHOE: WINDS WILL INCREASE THIS EVENING.
  SOUTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 TO 40 MPH POSSIBLE
  THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. WAVES 2 TO 4 FEET FOR MID LAKE TO
  DOWNWIND SHORES.

* IMPACTS: SNOW WILL MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS DUE TO SLICK, SNOW
  PACKED ROADS. CHAIN CONTROLS WILL BE LIKELY, ESPECIALLY OVER
  THE SIERRA PASSES AROUND THE TAHOE BASIN.
