NOAA and the Utah Avalanche Center have issued an Avalanche Warning for the Wasatch mountains of Utah that is in effect now through 6am Friday.
Alta is reporting 12″ of new snow overnight and a 50″ storm total.
Avalanche danger is rated as “HIGH” in the Wasatch and the all zones in red below.
Travel in the Wasatch backcountry or any of the zones listed in red is not recommended today.
