NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for New York today that is calling for 3-5″ of snowfall.

* ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 5 INCHES OF HEAVY WET SNOW. - NOAA Burlington, VT today

When it comes, it’s forecast to come hard with up to 1″ of snow per hour forecast.

* MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATE...UP TO 1 INCH PER HOUR...MAINLY THIS
  EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. - NOAA Burlington, VT today

This is the first winter advisory of the season for the East Coast!

Vermont will be getting some light snow as well with this storm system.
