Officials are reporting that an unidentified snowmobiler died after being buried in an avalanche in eastern Idaho yesterday.
The Bonneville Country Sheriff’s Office and Bonneville County Search and Rescue responded to a report of an adult male who was buried in an avalanche in the upper bowl of Sheep Creek at 4:06pm Tuesday.
Rescuers located and dug up the man, but he did not survive the burial.
Officials report that the man was snowmobiling with a group of friends.
