Solitude Mountain Resort To Open Friday | First Resort In Utah

Below average temperatures and a steady supply of snowfall the last week has prompted what many in Utah have been waiting for.  The first resort to open this year is once again Solitude Mountain Resort.

Solitude Mountain Resort has moved up its opening day to Friday November 8th, 2013. 3 lifts and 4 groomed runs will be open with a special opening weekend ticket price of only $39 for adults and $24 for children. All resort services will be provided at the Moonbeam base area. The 2013/14 Utah ski season is only days away!

We reached out to Solitudes Marketing department for a list of lifts and runs but however we were unable to contact anyone.  I will update this article when I find out more.

Solitude was hoping for an opening on the 14th but I doubt many will complain about opening 6 days early.

Typically Brighton Resort, just a couple miles up canyon from Solitude, opens within a couple days of Solitude so we will keep you posted on that.  Also if you bought the brand new Big Cottonwood Pass you can ski at Solitude starting this Friday.

As of now, Snowbird is still planning on opening November 20th and Alta is planning on November 22nd.  However, these are subject to change and both resorts are hoping to open as soon as they can.
