NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that is calling for 4-8″ of snow above 7,000-feet tomorrow. ย The heaviest snow is forecast to fall between 11am and 5pm on Friday.
Donner Pass, Echo Summit, Sonora Pass, and Ebbettsย Pass are all forecast to see 6-8″ of snow. ย Tioga Pass is forecast to see 4-6″ of snow and Mammoth is forecast to see 2-3″ of snow.

ADVISORY FOR SNOW, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 11 PM PDT
FRIDAY.
* TIMING: SNOW WILL BEGIN FRIDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY
EVENING. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED FROM 11 AM THROUGH 5
PM FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 4 TO 8 INCHES ABOVE 7000 FEET. LOCALIZED
ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES BELOW 7000 FEET IN HEAVIER
BANDS.
* SNOW LEVELS: 7000 FEET FALLING TO NEAR LAKE LEVEL IN THE
AFTERNOON.
* IMPACTS: HEAVY SNOWFALL WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS
DUE TO SLUSHY ROADS WITH THE GREATEST IMPACTS OVER THE PASSES.
THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 80 AND HIGHWAY 50 IN ADDITION TO ALL
OTHER PASSES IN THE TAHOE BASIN.
