ย A 17,000-square-foot mansion just sold near Telluride, Colorado. The log-cabin-style house not only offers multiple luxurious amenities but is also located next to a ski slope.

According to Mansion Global, its amenities include 11 fireplaces, a bowling alley, as well as a home cinema and multiple wellness and spa features. In addition to the main mansion the property also includes two chalets and and a studio apartment. The property is located in the Mountain Village, which sits just below the Telluride Ski Area.

Its location, right next to the “Sundance” ski run, allows the new owners to ski directly into their new (second) home. It sits at a staggering 9,500 feet above sea level and offers amazing views of the San Juan Mountains, which also adds to the value of the property.

The buyer of the property remains anonymous. Mansion Global claims that the seller acquired the house in 2007 for 13 million dollars and is now selling it for 20 million dollars. Compass, a real estate agency, representing the sellers, has told Mansion Global that the previous owners, “changed the feel of it to give it that welcoming ambiance.”

The median home price in Colorado is the fifth highest in the United States at $539,000, however, the price of property in ski towns is often higher than that. Listings on Zillow for Telluride often exceed the one million dollar mark. Since the buyer is anonymous it is not clear if the property will be their main property or a second home.

Telluride Ski Area offers over 2,000 acres of skiable terrain and a vertical drop of 4,300 feet. The resort won the Visitors’ Choice Award for best terrain in North America from OnTheSnow.com in the 2022/2023 season.
