On Friday, November 18th, 2016 Mt. Rose and Boreal Mountain Resort are scheduled to open as the first resorts to open in Lake Tahoe, CA for the 2016-17 winter. This winter has consisted of warm temperatures and a lack of snowfall, which has made it difficult for these resorts to open. Thankfully, the forecast is looking up, cooler temperatures and some natural precipitationย is headed to the western United States. This will allow for optimal snowmaking conditions and mother nature will hopefully provide these resortsย with a nice natural base to get things really going for the season.
