Director of Alta’s Avalanche Office Dave Richards, aka “Grom,” reports that Alta Ski Area has just recorded the fourth largest January for snowfall since 1980 with 153″ of snow. It’s been a DEEP month here in the Wasatch to say the least. And it’s not done yet. Alta has received 354″ of snow this season to date, and it is currently nuking powder at the time of this writing.

1995: 199.7″
1996: 187″
1993: 165.3″
2020: 153″
