Spring hit Utah hard the past few days.
Yesterday, temperatures soared into the 50s on the hill at Alta resulting in quite a few people skiing in shorts.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day with sunny skies, almost no wind, and great groomers.
We skied all over the hill but enjoyed the groomers off the frontside of the Collins lift the most.
I had a blast skiing with my old friend Theresa whom I guided skiing in Antarctica back in 2016.
I was only able to ski until noon, but that was enough time for a gaggle of people to congregate on the deck of the Goldminer’s Daughter to eat BBQed burgers and hotdogs and drink beer in the sunshine.
Flip flops were the appropriate attire on the deck.
Enjoy the warmth while you can – a storm is forecast to drop 3-5″ of snow on Alta Sunday night…
Alta has already seen 430″ of snowfall this season.
