I ran up Mt. Baldy at Alta ski area, UT today – just for fun.

Alta has been closed for a couple of weeks, but the skiing is still great and there is a ton of snow.

They even got a bunch of new snow last week.

I decided to ski off the skier’s right side of Baldy into a steep zone that was fun.

The snow was new-ish, slushy, slide-y, and fun.

I had a ball route finding and ripping slushy turns on little wind spines and noses.

Alta is so full of snow right now after 626″ of snow this season!

Alta’s 2018/19 Season by the Numbers:

• Seasonal Snowfall = 626”
• Days with new snow = 52%
• Days with 6” or more = 27%
• Days with 12” or more = 14%
• Days with 20” or more = 5%
