The lift started spinning at 8:12 a.m. on Saturday morning, kicking off winter 2024-25 a few minutes earlier than planned at Arapahoe Basin, Colorado.
“WE ARE SKIING AND RIDING PEOPLE⛷️🏂🥳
Itโs been an amazing first day, with breakfast in the lift line, donuts, and some sweet, sweet early season turns! And weโre just getting started โ weโll keep this party alive as long as Mother Nature allows. See you on the slopes 🫡”
High Noon, accessed via the Black Mountain Express, was open for skiers and riders. The resort also put on giveaways and donuts for the first guests in line and a DJ from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
As the skiers’ website, we couldn’t let an opening day go by without one of our writers being there, so look for one of our popular reports tomorrow.
The resort has plans to continue snow-making and opening more terrain as quickly as possible, starting next with Lenawee Face and Dercum Dash.
