Winter wonderland pictures reach us from Falls Creek and Hotham, located in the state of Victoria in Australia, where around 10 inches of snow have fallen overnight. After being unable to open for skiing on opening weekend, Mother Nature has come to the party overnight, delivering fresh snow at both Falls Creek and Hotham. The images of thick snowflakes falling around these resorts have been a sight for sore eyes.

Falls Creek reports 26cm (10.2 inches), while Hotham counted 27cm (10.6 inches) since last night when a cold front moved through the Australian Alps.ย

โ€œAs temperatures dipped to -2ยฐC, 26cm of fluffy snow fell coating Falls Creek in a blanket ofย white once again. The village is looking magical this morning with trees and cars covered in the good stuff, which is a great sign of things to come.โ€ย

โ€œItโ€™s terrific to see high snowfall at Hotham again, with 27cm of fresh snow across the resort, which puts us in a promising position to safely open our lifts soon for our guests.โ€

It is forecast to keep snowing for the rest of the week, so hopefully, lifts will be spinning across these resorts sooner rather than later.
