With a warm week and rain in the forecast (and a very flexible boss), we had to get out of Tahoe. The first stop on our tour of snowy places was Canyons Resort. It was so nice to ski on some proper wintery snow again that I don’t think the smile left my face all day. We were able to find nice chalky snow in the trees and some really fun powdery bumps all around the mountain.
Our favorite terrain was off of Ninety-Nine 90, Peak 5, Dreamcatcher, and Iron Mountain Express Chairs. Some standout runs were The Abyss and Grande, and some spirited mogul races on Heavy Metal. At the end of a long day, it’s definitely worth a stop at the Umbrella Bar for some $6 ‘premium’ wings. Thank you Canyons for an amazing day. Next stop, Alta!
