If you’re looking for your next birthday party or corporate outing, Plattekill Mountain, NY might be your destination! Located three hours from New York City, Plattekill is found in the Catskill Range, NY. Plattekill offers 1,100 feet of vertical, four chairlifts and 38 runs. Private renters get to enjoy the whole mountain to themselves (conditions permitting) for $4,500. At that rate lift tickets cost only $45 per person when groups bring 100 guests.
The private Plattekill Mountain experience allows groups of people to come to enjoy the mountain on their own terms. Whether you are coming for a birthday or company outing, Plattekill offers all amenities such as dining, rentals, and now have partnered with, Full Moon Resort, to offer lodging and shuttles for guests. Lazlo and Danielle Vajtay bought Plattekill Mountain in 1992 when the resort was foreclosed. After a guest came and offered to rent the entire mountain, the couple decided to start offering the same opportunity to the public on February 1, 2010. The resort has seen this program take off over the years with the private mountain rentals selling out almost every year.
