Current Conditions and Recent Snowfall

A recent storm system has brought initial snowfall to several areas. Aspen Snowmass received about six inches of snow, while Loveland Ski Area saw approximately four inches.

Upcoming Major Storm System

A more significant storm is approaching, and it is expected to deliver substantial snowfall across multiple regions. Colorado and Utah (Wasatch Range) are anticipated to receive one to two feet of snow, with localized areas possibly receiving up to three feet. In California (Sierra Nevada), Mammoth Mountain is a primary target, with expected accumulations of up to 2.5 feet.

Detailed Snowfall Predictions

The Wasatch Range in Utah is expected to receive heavy snow from late November 25th through the 26th. Accumulations of 10 to 20 inches are forecasted, with Alta and Snowbird potentially seeing about 15 to 18 inches. Slightly lower amounts are expected at Solitude and Brighton.

Colorado is forecasted to receive heavy snow from November 26th into the morning of the 27th. Arapahoe Basin could receive around 20 inches, with similar amounts expected at Loveland, Keystone, and Winter Park. The West Elks area may see up to three feet in some spots like Irwin.

Northeast Forecast

A separate storm system is expected in the Northeast around November 28th and 29th. This system is predicted to bring about a foot of snow to ski areas in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
