The Andes mountain range are the tallest mountains in the Southern Hemisphere. Deep in the heart of this beautiful and rugged range is the Rocanegra Mountain Lodge, where you’ll send a week ripping beautiful buff and technical single track, eat delicious local food, finish your days sipping Chilean wine and enjoy some of the best views you will ever see. As always with any Evo trip, they have all the details worked so all you have to do is enjoy being on a bike holiday.

A week of riding in the Andes is about the best way to start your riding season off.

May is fall in Chile and ย you’ll be in the mountains. You should be prepared for all weather. There will be plenty of pedalling along withย some shuttles for riding in the Reserva Ecologica. This trip is for intermediate to advanced riders and requires you to bring your own bike and know how to set it up. A typical enduro bike will be your best bet for this trip. Something with enough travel to handle tech trails but still be able to climb. Think 5″ to 6″ of travel front and back and something that isn’t a 40lbs DH rig. Here is a sample packing list to get you started.

Enuro style bikes will work best.

The timing couldn’t be better for this trip. Your spring skiing jones will be satisfied and it’s just about the perfect time to get on two wheels again and start your mountain bike season off with an epic trip for 6 days of awesome riding. Everything else is pretty much taken care of. From guides who know their way around to food and drink to legendary Chilean hospitality.

Getting to the goods.
