The famous “Clam House” in Crested Butte is for sale at a cool $1.8 million.ย This unique ski-in ski-out home at Mt. Crested Butte was designed by Robert Harvey Oshatz to accommodate two brothers who had happened into a truckload of redwood siding.
The three-floor house is supported by a central pillar that also contains fireplaces for each level and a jacuzzi. Two separate master suites occupy the top floor and a living room with a 1,000sqft balcony, while the bottom level is a childrenโs playroom and bunkhouse.
Constructed in 1987, the iconic structure goes by the nickname โsnow clam.โ
I’m pretty sure if 1.8 million of us all dug down the back of the couch, we could chip in and have ourselvesย a sweet little ski-bum hangout!
