With only a week until the biggest event in freeride mountain biking, Red Bull Rampage, everyone in the mountain bike community is getting very excited. The event that does it all bringing together only the best from dirt jumpers to downhillers and everything in between. The Rampage has been around since 2001 and has always been one of the gnarliest events around.
Rampage is one of the true freeride events which involves natural features, premade slopestyle features, and allows riders to build their own lines and features in the days coming up to the events. Rampage is an FMB World Tour Diamond level event meaning that riders participating in the event can be rewarded points.
Bringing together 41 riders including Downhill World Cup Champion Steve Smith, FMB World Tour Champion Sam Pilgrim, perfectionist slopestyle champion Brandon Semenuk, and last year’s winner Kurt Sorge, the Rampage is one of the only events which bring together so many different types of athletes to compete together for what is often thought to be the ultimate mountain bike title.
Red Bull will be broadcasting the event live at www.redbull.tvย at 1:00pm to 3:00pm PDT and on NBC as part of the Red Bull Signature Series. If you’ve never seen the event before, watch last years full broadcast above and join us next week for the live event.
