Deer Valley Ski Resort is once again hoping to be named the USA’s Best Ski Resort, for the sixth consecutive year. If the resort is successful, it will compete against winning resorts from other countries for the title of the World’s Best Ski Resort. Votes will be cast by members of the public and by leading ski tourism professionals, and is now open!
Deer Valley was recently purchased by Alterra Mountain Co and is a part of the Ikon Pass.

Voting for the 6th Annual World Ski Awards, the only global initiative recognizing ski tourism excellence, goes through September 22, 2018 at worldskiawards.com. The winners for the World’s Best Ski Resort, along with many other categories, will be announced and celebrated in Kitzbuhel, Austria at the 2018 World Ski Awards Gala Ceremony, November 16-18.

Deer Valley COO and President Bob Wheaton stated that the resort truly values the title of Best Ski Resort in the US, and believes that the resort, it’s amenities, and staff live up to the prestigious accolade with their services and guest-centered approach. He hopes for the resort to be successful on the world stage.
It really comes down to………..people are doing” less skiing in reality”and more of everything else. Therefore, ski areas become these giant “resorts” that “price out” everyone but the people who have the $$$…………..plain and simple. While nice to stay at, the mountain atmosphere is replaced with pavement and people everywhere,TRUTH!!
