Think it’s too early for avalanches? Think again.
This size 2 avalanche took place on Sunday 20th October on Idaho Peak in the Slocan Valley of the Selkirk Mountains BC. The Crown was 45 cm (18″) deep and ~60 m (200-feet) wide. The Avalanche ran ~350 m (1,150-feet) into the small trees below. It was skier triggered and there were no injuries.
