Falls Creek in the state of Victoria, Australia, opened for skiing and boarding on Saturday, June 15. After receiving 19 cm (7.5 inches) of snow, the resort started operating the Mouse Trap Carpet on Saturday. More terrain and lifts are slated to open soon.

“After 19cm of snowfall this week and great snowmaking conditions, Falls Creek is looking winter white, it’s exciting times! Huge thanks to our operations teams for getting us to this point. We’re now focused on getting Wombat’s Ramble open as soon as possible so our guests can ski or snowboard back to the village on Australia’s longest green run.”
— Betony Pitcher, Field Marketing Manager, Falls Creek
Aside from the Mouse Trap Carpet, Falls Creek has Halley’s Comet spinning which allows access to Cloud 9 and the beginner terrain at Mouse Trap. All other terrain will remain closed until further notice and downloading will be necessary until more terrain has been cleared for opening.
