Falls Creek Ski Resort in Australiaย had amazing winterย season this year with a lot of snowfall and powder!

Normally,ย Falls Creek hasย a snow depth of around 70cms in the end of September. ย 

This year, Falls Creek had nearly twice that with 130cms at the end of September! ย 

And it won’t stop! ย It was still snowing at Falls Creek as recently as October 11th (see photo below).

FALLS CREEK FACTS:

  • Theย Falls Creek Alpine Resortย is anย alpine ski resortย in the Humeย region in northeastern Victoria, Australia.
  • The resort lies between anย elevationย of 1,210 and 1,830ย m (3,970 and 6,004ย ft)ย above sea level, with the highest lifted point at 1,780ย m (5,840ย ft).
  • Skiing is possible on the nearby peak ofย Mount McKayย at 1,842ย m (6,043ย ft), accessed byย snowcatย from the resort.ย ย 
  • Falls Creekย is located in the Alpine National Parkย in theย Victorian Alps, approximately 350 kilometres (220 miles) by road fromย Melbourne, with the nearest townย Mount Beauty, approximately 30ย km (20ย mi) away.
