Teton Valley’s Grand Targhee Resort announced on March 14 a decision to cancel all special events and live music through closing day, 2020. The measure reflects what already is a fast-growing trend in the ski industry to curb occasions for people to gather and minimize opportunity for virus, COVID-19 to spread.
But where many ski areas are opting for full suspension of ski operations–including neighboring Jackson Hole Mountain Resort–Targhee has stated intention to SKI ON! The resort’s Director of Marketing, Jennie White shared the destination’s conviction to continue skiing and to maintain on-mountain services.
In a press release distributed Saturday, Grand Targhee Resort stated:
“We will continue to provide you with updates about the resort. We are committed to doing what we can to maintain a level of operation while keeping our guests and employees safe. We want to provide a place for friends and family to experience during this time when stress and anxiety levels are elevated.”
