Report from 13th February 2020 and brought to you Grand Targhee Resort
I have never–not ONCE–waited in a lift line here. While those may be famous last words, they needed to be said. And a several day stretch of dry cold, foam pit conditions seems an appropriate platform to share the fact.
Targhee reports a sneaky 7 inches to have collected over the last 48hrs, but the place skiing more like twice that figure. Mother nature must be putting something in the water on the ‘wet’ side of the Tetons…
As per usual getting as wide as possible off lifts, Sacagawea or Blackfoot give you the best odds at epic, untracked lines. But really, there’s been killer options here, there, and everywhere for days, literally.
Snow consistency is light super surface layering with a creamy foundation. Points of awareness are tree wells (naturally) and frostbite to fingers while trying to photograph the moment. But frankly, it’s been flat-out radical these past few days. So how could you not want to snap a pic for memory lane?
In short, Grand Targhee Resort is running mighty fine at present.ย And they say there’s more white stuff on the way.
