Destination December Invites Families To Kick Off Winter At Teton Village
(TETON VILLAGE, WYO. – OCT. 15, 2024) – Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) announced today that it will host the wildly popular Ski in Jeans Day for the second consecutive year, highlighting a long list of December events at the Resort that also includes free lift tickets for kids during Kids on Snow, as well as Winterfest, a 10-day holiday celebration at the Resort.
All of Teton Village will celebrate Destination December this year, beginning with the 2nd Annual Ski in Jeans Day on Dec. 7. Guests are encouraged to don their favorite denim to hit the slopes, and they’ll have the chance to enjoy discounted lift tickets, rentals, and group lessons, as well as special giveaways, drink deals and the chance to ride a mechanical bull during après-ski celebrations in Teton Village.
JHMR debuted Ski in Jeans Day (pictured above) last year and promptly set a new world record for the most people skiing and riding in jeans at 3,114, and event organizers are optimistic the Resort will set a new record this year. Lift tickets will cost just $25 for the event, and a three-day lift ticket for the entire weekend will cost $199.

JHMR has partnered with Performance Denim apparel company Ripton for Ski in Jeans Day. Ripton will offer exclusive JHMR patches to customize any denim worn during the event, as well as a photo booth for participants to capture the moment with printed and digital imagery.
JHMR will also host the new Kids on Snow event from Dec. 13-15, during which all children 12 and under will ski for free the entire weekend, regardless of skill level. Kids on Snow will also offer $100 group ski lessons on Dec. 13 as well as the chance to experience dog sledding or a tour of the Resort inside the belly of a snow groomer on Dec. 14. Other opportunities include discounted lodging and the Teton Village Shop and Sip, when guests can kick off their holiday shopping with their favorite cocktail.
JHMR will close out 2024 with its 10-day Winterfest celebration from Dec. 21-31, during which guests will be treated to all the best free family activities the Resort has to offer during the holidays. Events include snowman building, cookie decorating, a family scavenger hunt, sledding, and the opportunity to ski with Santa Claus on Christmas Day, as well as a parade and fireworks display on New Year’s Eve.
