Report from February 11, 2021
I rolled out to Jackson Hole ski resort, WY at about 1pm today for some long groomers and to observe the building storm.
NOAA has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Jackson Hole that is calling for 10-20″ of snow tonight and Friday and Saturday.
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 20 inches, with locally higher amounts. West wind gusting 25 to 40 mph. - NOAA, Riverton WY, 2/11/21
The snow started falling at a moderate clip at about 2pm and didn’t stop.
The groomers were sumptuous and smooth.
No one was out.ย
I had so much fun on the groomers that I got the confidence to try the moguls with my old knees and even the moguls were chalky, buffed out and fun.
All in all, it was a fun, cold, blustery, snowy day.
Bring on the storm!
